2 Days 1 Night!!! Sound like KBS World TV Show, right? Hahaha
The true is I and my friends were going vacation to USS in 2 days 1 night only. After have fun and enjoy at USS, we are straight going back to Kuala Lumpur at night in same day. That sound crazy, right? Hahaha
When we talk about USS, for sure – all people already knew what is meaning of USS, right?? (^_~) Oh yes, USS full name is Universal Studio Singapore.
Actually around November 2012, I and my friends were going to USS as free and easy traveler. I’m known when we talk about free and easy – for sure not so many people feel confident to go USS as free and easy traveler. But it’s okay. I want to share my experience as free and easy traveler when I and my friends were going to USS last year. Hope I’m can help a few people that want to go USS as free and easy traveler and at the same time as budget traveler too. Hihihi
To be honest, I not remember this travel’s cost but it’s not more than RM 400, include USS ticket and transportation 2 ways to go USS. Now, the story begins. ~~~
I go Singapore by KTM train from KL Sentral (Kuala Lumpur) to Woodland Station (Singapore border). I was travel at midnight train so I don't need to stay at hotel because I arrive at Woodland Station around 6.40 am. Another way, I already save my money for stay at hotel. The ticket of KTM train fare from KL Sentral to Woodland is around RM 26.00. I was take bed seating position on train, not chair seating – so I can sleep in train on the way to go Singapore but sleep in train is not so comfortable, if to compare sleep at hotel or house.
P/S: For Malaysian travel, please remember to bring your identity card (IC) together with your passport because Singapore’s custom will check both and you also need to fill-in form for Malaysian traveler form.
Then, I take bus that number bus is 170 Queen Street. This bus’s route will go Subway Kranji Station (N57-link 4) and it just takes around 20 minute to arrive at Subway Kranji Station. I go Singapore during working day so I think you can imagine what happen if you use public transport on that day – normally like in Malaysia too.
After that, I buy train ticket to HarbourFront Station (NE1-link 6 or CC29-link 9). When, I buy train ticket to go HarbourFront Station – I need to buy it using ticket machine because to go HarbourFront Station need to transit so I can’t buy at counter ticket. I also need to pay more for the ticket for advance paid, but this ticket can refund back my money using refund machine at subway station when I finish using this ticket subway. The subway ticket in Singapore like touch N go card in Malaysia and this card also can use many times in one card.
From Kranji Station to HarbourFront Station, I need to transit like Star LRT and Putra LRT at Masjid Jamek Station in Kuala Lumpur. In this case, I need to transit at Dhoby Ghaut (NS24-link 5 or NE6-link 6 or CC1-link 10)
P/S: Be careful reading the train’s name station route and you will not lost when use subway in Singapore because it’s so friendly function and their make clear announcement of the station name when arrive.
When, I arrive at HarbourFront Station – I take bus again to go Sentosa. This bus last stop point is Sentosa, so don't to worry to be lost when using bus. The bus fare to Sentosa is $ 2.00 only. After that, I just need to find USS by looking the signboard.
P/S: When you decide to go USS by public transportation, you need to have small change for all this transaction and it does will make you feel easy when using it.
Here, the list of price ticket USS:

Then, time to go back Kuala Lumpur. I take flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur by Air Asia. I just take subway to Changi International Airport Station, then I walk a few minute to Changi International Airport, Singapore – but I need to transit to Changi International Airport Station line.
That is the way, to use public transport in Singapore to go Universal Studio Singapore. I hope I can help a few people to go USS as free and easy traveler. Good Luck and have fun in USS!! Hihihi
